Worked example: a 50mm NB Medium class pipe (OD 60.3mm, WT 3.6mm) → (60.3 − 3.6) × 3.6 × 0.0246615 = 56.7 × 3.6 × 0.0246615 = 5.03 kg/m.

Total Weight (kg) = Weight per metre × Length (m) × Number of pipes.

To convert kg/m to kg/foot, multiply by 0.3048 — e.g. 5.03 kg/m × 0.3048 = 1.53 kg/foot.
